Double Trouble

Wade Hewitt and Johanna sporting their pox! How is it that the boys always have fewer on their faces? Ah well, they fade!

A few days in Oroville

The girls and I just returned from a few days in Oroville, visiting my mom and sisters, Lynsey & Tamara and their families. Tamara and family were up from California. The girls had a wonderful time playing at the beach...giggling...singing...fishing...good memories.

Round Two

Yep, it's true. The chickenpox are contagious alright. Johanna broke out two weeks to the day after Natalia. We were in Oroville, visiting Grandma, Auntie Lynsey & Uncle Cody and the Ben & Tam and family. The pox didn't slow us down until Saturday night, when Johanna was very uncomfortable. But she is "crusting up" already and will look and feel normal again very soon.

Chickenpox!

The chicken pox are visiting at our house. The first spot appeared on Friday and we are well on our way to 200! But, overall it isn't too bad, no fever, etc, just the usual itchiness. We are mostly controlling that with calamine lotion, as you can see from the lovely photo. Anybody that wants to be exposed - come on over!

Out of Jail on good behavior

On June 7th, I was locked up for GOOD! I participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association "lock-up" this year. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to my colleagues, friends and family who helped "bail" me out! With your support, I raised enough to send a child with Muscular Dystrophy to camp this year! The MDA is a great cause!

Mother's Day found us at brunch with Rob's family. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch and visit with the family!

Our May Day Girl is Eight!

Our May Girl turned eight last month - hard to believe. We capitalized on the May Day theme again. Joining us to celebrate were Grandma & Grandpa Read, Uncle Ryan, Auntie Christine, cousins Benjamin and Zoe, Great Grandma Mae, Grandma Glenda, Uncle Cody, Auntie Lynsey, Great Grammy, and friends Laura, Emily, Poonam and Callie. The girls crafted flower fairies and had lots of fun playing and giggling!

We spent Spring Break in sunny Oceanside, California this year. We had an awesome time visiting the Flower Fields at Carlsbad, LegoLand, Old Town San Diego, the Escondido Wild Animal Park and of course lots of SAND time! Our condo was on the beach just down from the Oceanside pier. We enjoyed having Grandpa & Grandma with us too.

The moments, the days, the joys of Rob, Christina, Natalia & Johanna
