A Day with the Mariners!

We spent the day in Seattle today. Started off at Seattle Center, and the Experience Music Project. Then we utilized public transportation to get down to Safeco field for the game. The Mariner's beat the Athletics 4-3. Please note that shortly after the top picture was taken, the sun reached our part of the stadium and the sweatshirts came off in a hurry! It was a great day at the ballpark!

The "Tall Ships" were in town!

The girls and I enjoyed touring these "tall ships" while they were docked in town. Both have been used in numerous movies and they were quite grand. I just wish they would have had the sails up, but I guess that isn't a good idea when you are docked! Of couse, we could have paid a hefty $200 and gone for a 3-hour sail, but it wasn't in the budget this week!

Some comic relief!

A blonde's car gets a flat tire on the Interstate one day so she eases it over onto the shoulder of the road.

She carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. Takes out two cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle facing oncoming traffic.

The lifelike cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies to approaching drivers... Not surprisingly, the traffic became snarled and backed up.

It wasn't very long before a police car arrives. The Officer, clearly enraged, approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling, 'What is going on here?'

'My car broke down, Officer', says the woman, calmly.

'Well, what are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by the road?!' asks the Officer...

'Helllllooooo, those are my emergency flashers!' she replied.

Good friends, good fun!

We enjoyed spending Sunday afternoon with the Bartletts. There was plenty of sunshine to go around and we all enjoyed the day!

Johanna & Cameron getting good use out of the old trike!

Getting ready to knock it out there!

There it goes!

When's my pitch coming?

Cameron's turn!

Happy Birthday, America!

We had a wonderfun (is that a word? I just made it up...wonderful and fun!) 4th of July on the Island with the Read family. We spent several days relaxing, playing on the beach and enjoying time spent with Grandpa and Grandma, Mike, Lynn & Nevan, and Christine, Benjamin and Zoe. Check out the clear blue sky...the weather was fabulous! It was also the opening of crabbing season, so we were spoiled with some delicious fresh crab!

Blowin' bubbles on the deck...

Reading a story to Zoe...

As you can see, the girls love their newest little cousin, Zoe Mae!
